All regular tours and activities are operating as scheduled with the exception of Blue Lagoon visits and Reykjanes tours. The volcanic activity is limited to an area on the Reykjanes peninsula, with no effects on the capital area or other areas in Iceland.

The restaurant's name, 'Torfan', refers to its location on 'Bernhöfts-Torfa', a historical part of the town dating back to the very earliest days of the city centre. The house itself was built in 1838, and its wooden floors and walls emanate the rich history of the area. The row of buildings that make up Bernhöftstorfa showcases an important aspect of the architectural history of Reykjavík.

The interior of the restaurant has an elegant and eclectic ambiance while at the same time being homey and warm, with storied paintings and classical Icelandic ceramics on the walls, white tablecloths, and leather couches.
